Vahid Beheshti Director

contact@ifrlns.org

Vahid Beheshti is a dedicated human rights activist and media figure, serving as the director of Dorr TV, a widely followed Persian-language Telegram channel with a global reach. Born in 1977 in Borujerd, Iran, Beheshti developed an early interest in social justice and human rights. After completing his studies in mathematics and physics, his commitment to advocating for citizens' rights in Iran led to multiple confrontations with the authorities, including two arrests by the regime’s security forces.

Beheshti is unique among Iranian opposition figures for his international platform: he has spoken at the U.S. Congress, the United Nations, the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), the UK Parliament, and the European Parliament, focusing on the global threat posed by the Islamic regime in Iran. His message emphasizes that the regime’s influence jeopardizes not only regional stability but also the security and values of the entire free world.

For years, Beheshti has raised awareness about the perils of Islamism, extremism, and religious fascism, threats he believes endanger both the Iranian people and global human rights. Through persistent engagement with political leaders, he has highlighted how extremist ideologies infiltrate communities under the guise of religion, manipulating young people through organizations and Islamic centers linked to the Iranian regime in Western countries.

In an act of protest calling on the UK government to formally designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, Beheshti embarked on a hunger strike outside the UK Foreign Office in London. On the 72nd day of his strike, he was hospitalized and admitted to the NHS for urgent medical care. Despite this, Beheshti and his supporters remain steadfast in their protest, committed to holding a constant vigil until the IRGC is officially proscribed.

With nearly 15 years of experience in media and advocacy, Beheshti has established himself as a prominent voice for Persian-speaking communities. His platform, Dorr TV, is among the most influential Persian-language media channels outside Iran, engaging over 715,000 followers and offering a critical perspective on issues related to human rights and political freedoms.

Dr. Masood Masjoody Board Member

Dr. Masood Masjoody is a mathematician, former engineer, and legal activist, widely recognized as an outspoken dissident of the Islamic regime ruling Iran. His activism began as an undergraduate at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tehran, during a period of intense political suppression on Iranian campuses. After earning a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, he went on to complete a Master’s in Pure Mathematics at the University of Tehran and later, in Canada, earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics.

Dr. Masjoody brings analytical precision and moral clarity to his legal and political advocacy, which has exposed systemic corruption, judicial complicity, and the transnational reach of the regime. He is known for his 126-day hunger strike in 2023, carried out in Canada to expose the growing influence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and to hold the Canadian judicial system accountable for its alignment with agents affiliated with this terrorist organization—and for its complicity in concealing the systematic infiltration of the Islamic regime’s military operatives into Canada’s public and academic institutions. Dr. Masjoody emphasizes that the Islamic Republic operates as a two-pronged structure—one domestic, one transnational, particularly active in the West.

He argues that dismantling this regime requires coordinated and simultaneous struggle from both inside and outside Iran. For Iranians in exile, he advocates a pragmatic, action-oriented approach rooted in readiness to bear real costs. He calls for pragmatic cooperation among diverse political forces, grounded not in ideological conformity but in a shared commitment to overthrowing the regime and adopting a minimal, common roadmap for the transitional period. Dr. Masjoody envisions a post-Islamic Republic Iran founded on the rule of law as the highest pillar of sustained democratic order, anchored in full transparency and accountability within the justice system. Believing that without truth, justice, and the end of impunity for oppressors no democracy can endure, he grounds his activism in the principles of legal integrity and transitional justice—not to promote forgiveness, but to ensure that those responsible for systemic crimes face full accountability, and that no political future is built on silence, erasure, or appeasement.

Dr. Dadresh Fathi Board Member

Dr. Dadresh Fathi, born in 1966 in Tehran, is an Iranian activist renowned for his commitment to human rights and opposition to religious tyranny. In 1984, at the age of 17, he immigrated to Sweden and has since been residing in Scandinavia. Dr. Fathi completed his secondary education in Sweden and pursued his higher education at universities in the region, ultimately earning a medical degree in Denmark. Alongside his successful professional career, Dr. Fathi leads a stable personal life, being married to his Danish spouse and the father of two adult children.

Beginning of Human Rights Activism  Dr. Fathi's first prominent human rights initiative took place in 2005 when he set up a protest camp in Copenhagen's main square. This act was in response to the suppression of religious diversity and the Islamic Republic’s attack on the Gonabadi dervishes' gathering place in Qom. In subsequent years, his activism expanded to counter the regime's attempts to influence Western societies through ostensibly cultural and religious institutions, such as the Imam Ali Mosque in Copenhagen. These institutions were part of the Islamic Republic’s broader strategy to promote religious radicalism and oppose democratic values.

International and Human Rights Activities:  As a member of the International Association for the Defense of Human Rights, Dr. Fathi has become a vocal advocate for religious, ideological, and ethnic diversity. He has participated in numerous conferences and assemblies within the European Union, focusing on combating radical and political Islam. The human rights reports he and his colleagues submitted to the European Union have been instrumental in raising global awareness about the Islamic Republic's extensive human rights violations.

Dr. Fathi is a staunch defender of secular democracy, he advocates for the establishment of a government grounded in human rights principles and international law. His activities include attending protests, delivering speeches, and presenting documented reports on the regime’s human rights abuses. He firmly believes that replacing the despotic system of the Islamic Republic with a secular, democratic government is a crucial step toward achieving freedom and justice in Iran.

Dr. Fathi is an active member of the Front for the Revival of the Constitutional Law of 1906. This organization seeks to utilize the historic constitutional law as a legitimate and temporary framework to manage the country during a transitional period and restore the sovereignty of the people. He maintains that leveraging this historical legal foundation will pave the way for free elections and the establishment of a government aligned with the will of the Iranian nation

Born: September 23, 1979 | Agricultural Engineer | Human Rights and Political Activist

Amir Ali Mohammadi Labaf, widely known as “Amir Labaf,” is a graduate of agricultural engineering. He formerly served as a senior employee in the industrial townships under Iran’s Ministry of Industry and Mines but was dismissed due to his civil resistance and protest activities.

A member of the Gonabadi Dervishes, Mr. Labaf is a former political and religious prisoner who, between 2005 and 2018, was repeatedly arrested, imprisoned, tortured, flogged, and exiled by the Islamic Republic regime. After the brutal Golestan-e Haftom crackdown, he was forced to flee Iran and seek political refuge abroad.

Since mid-2018, he has continued his political activism in exile, while also working as a human rights and refugee rights advocate. In 2022, he joined the National Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in Iran, based in Luxembourg, and served as its chairman for approximately two years.

Among his notable actions are numerous rallies in support of the Iranian people’s uprisings—especially following the killing of Mahsa Amini. Despite severe spinal injuries and being wheelchair-bound, he went on a hunger strike and protest sit-in demanding that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) be listed as a terrorist organization by the EU. This led to an official meeting with Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister and resulted in public support from the ministry for the people of Iran.

Amir Labaf remains an active figure in civil resistance, defending the rights of refugees, and promoting freedom, justice, and national sovereignty for Iran.
