Launch of the Iranian Front for the Revival of Law and National Sovereignty at the European Parliament

The "Iranian Front for the Revival of Law and National Sovereignty" (IFRLNS) officially announced its formation on 20 May 2025, during an event held at the European Parliament in Brussels. Attendees included high-profile political figures, diplomats, and respected experts from leading Western think tanks. The event, titled "Regime Change in Iran: Challenges and Opportunities" marked the public launch of an inclusive and cohesive political initiative targeting political change in Iran.

The event was chaired by Mattie Heaven, a political activist and prominent member of the Iran Front, and featured contributions from Afshin Sajedi, another leading member. Distinguished speakers included three Members of the European Parliament— Reinis Pozņaks, David Casa, and Andrey Kovatchev—as well as think-tanks, human rights organisations and policy makers representing the Jewish community and the democracy for Russia movement.

The IFRLNS, established in response to calls from the Iranian people, emphasised its commitment to representing the diverse ethnic, political, and religious spectrum of Iranian society. It declared its unwavering resolve to continue the struggle until its comprehensive three-phase plan—covering regime overthrow, transition management, and establishment of a democratic system—is fully implemented. Highlights of this detailed strategy were presented during the meeting.
Vahid Beheshti, founder and spokesperson of the IFRLNS, stated:
"Our activities have moved beyond merely advocating human rights; we are now actively engaged in direct political opposition to the Islamic Republic. This regime answers to no legal or international authority and can only be toppled through a strategic political approach."

In a further remark, Beheshti added:
"This regime can only be dismantled through coordinated action between the Iranian people and the international community—not merely based on mutual interests but driven by the necessity of survival and existence."

The three Members of the European Parliament— Reinis Pozņaks, David Casa, and Andrey Kovatchev—expressed their full support for the objectives and actions of the Iran Front.
The IFRLNS affirmed its commitment to core principles such as territorial integrity, national sovereignty, secular governance, social justice, and fundamental freedoms. It expressed readiness to play a historical role through the three decisive phases: the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, effective transition governance, and the establishment of a lasting secular-democratic and law-based system in Iran.
